Gas fire extinguishing cylinders of MGP 150 and MGP 250 type and gas fire extinguishing batteries of B-MGP 150 and B-MGP 250 type are designed for storage and release of gas fire extinguishing substance (GFES) into the protected premise for extinguishing fires in a volume and local way. The module and batteries are used for fire fighting protection of premises and technological equipment as part of gas fire extinguishing installations.
Carbon dioxide according to GOST 8050 of the highest or first quality category (CO2) is used as GFES, which can be used in cylinders and batteries. The cylinders use barometric method of GFES mass control, which allows not using any weighing devices.
Cylinders MGP “ATAKA 2” are made of the following types:

The cylinders are equipped with a locking-starting device (LSD). LSD is provided with a membrane safety device (MSD) and blocking of the manual starting element (check).
Weight control device (WCD) is used to control GFES leakage.
WCD contains an electronic pressure sensor and thermometer that are connected to the electronic unit.

The weight control device (WCD) of the gas extinguishing agent contains an electronic thermometer and pressure sensor that are connected to the electronic unit.
How to start the module:
a) Electrically and manually. The initiating elements are electromagnet and handle, respectively. The symbol is E;
b) Pneumatically. The symbol is P.
The unified battery start-up system is a pipeline exiting a module provided with electric and manual start-ups and connecting the entire group of battery cylinders. The batteries are started in electrical-pneumatic way from the start-up module being a part of the battery: an electric start-up pulse is applied to the start-up electromagnet with GFES (start-up method - E), which, after being triggered through induction pipeline, supplies gas pressure to the switchgear of the remaining modules (starting method - P) as part of the battery and implements them pneumatic start.
The starting pulse of the module with electrical and manual start shall comply with the following characteristics:
Voltage: 22 - 26 V
Current: 0.7 - 0.9 A
Supply time: at least 0.5 sec
Manual start force from 3 to 10 kg.
Pressure gauge type - general technical.
The start-up algorithm provides for simultaneous activation of all battery modules.
Modules and batteries correspond to the climatic configuration “УХЛ” of the placement category “4” according to GOST 15150-69, but in the temperature range from minus 30 to plus 50°С. The degree of protection of electrical equipment against external influences - IP 33 or IP 54 according to GOST 14254.

Seismic resistance of the modules corresponds to 8 points on MSK-64 scale, at height +30 m.
Work resource before overhaul - at least 10 triggerings.
Service life - 30 years with a 9-years warranty period.
The recharged cylinders shall be placed at least 1 meter away from radiators and other heating appliances, and from furnaces and other heat sources with an open flame at distance of at least 10 meters, and in places where the temperature does not exceed maximum permissible operating temperature.
The cylinder shall be rigidly fixed with clamps to fixed building structures providing free access to them for operation and maintenance.
LSD design provides the ability to replace the pressure gauge and pressure switch.
The frequency of calibration of the pressure gauge - once a year.
Frequency of the cylinder inspection – every 10 years.
Check integrity of the electric circuit of electromagnet at current of not more than 0.1 A.
